Safety & First Aid (Highly Toxic)

Highly toxic by ingestion, inhalation, or skin contact; may be fatal if absorbed in small amounts. Contact with acid releases toxic HCN gas.

• Inhalation: Immediately move to fresh air, keep at rest in a semi-recumbent position; administer oxygen if breathing is difficult; call emergency medical services (EMS) immediately.

• Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately; rinse skin thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical attention.

• Eye Contact: Flush eyes continuously with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes (remove contact lenses if applicable); seek medical attention promptly.

• Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting; rinse mouth with water; give activated charcoal (if advised by EMS); call emergency services immediately and provide this TDS.

Respiratory Protection: Wear a full-face gas mask with a cyanide-specific filter (P100/N95 grade); use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in confined spaces.

Personal Protection: Wear nitrile gloves, acid-resistant protective clothing, and safety goggles (or face shield).

Storage & Transportation

• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse; keep away from heat, open flames, and direct sunlight.

• Seal tightly in corrosion-resistant containers (e.g., HDPE, glass-lined steel) to prevent moisture absorption and contact with air.

• Separate from acids, oxidants, heavy metals, and food raw materials; post clear "Highly Toxic" and "No Smoking" signs.
