• Features: DMBA is a multifunctional compound containing two hydroxyl groups and one carboxyl group, giving it both alcohol-like and acid-like properties. Its structure (hydrophobic alkyl chain + hydrophilic functional groups) provides unique solubility, making it an excellent chain extender and compatibilizer. It can be used to synthesize high-performance polymer systems. Compared with DMPA, DMBA has better solubility in various solvents and overall superior performance.

• DMBA is used as a chain extender and internal emulsifier in waterborne polyurethanes.
• It serves as a multi-purpose modifier (hydrophilic chain extender) in waterborne epoxy resins, waterborne coatings, waterborne adhesives, and waterborne plasticizers.
• It is applied in the manufacturing of photosensitive resins, magnetic recording materials, and coating raw materials.
• When producing emulsions with DMBA, no organic solvents are needed during modification, making it a new generation of green and environmentally friendly products.
