Chemical formula: Li2O3Si
EINECS 233-270-5
I. Main Components
The main component is Li?O·mSiO?·nH?O, where the values of m and n vary by model, determined by factors such as modulus and concentration. Using innovative production processes, our company manufactures lithium silicate products with diverse specifications. These products are colorless, transparent, stable in properties, superior in quality, and contain extremely low levels of impurity ions. Our products match imported equivalents in quality while remaining competitive with domestic products in price. We can produce lithium silicate with moduli ranging from 4.0 to 4.8 and customize products according to customer requirements.
II. Overview
Lithium silicate, also known as lithium water glass, is a colorless, odorless, transparent, weakly alkaline liquid with a pH of 11–12. The relative density and viscosity of the product vary by model, with relative density ranging from 1.16 to 1.2 (at 20°C). Liquid lithium silicate is soluble in water and alkaline liquids, insoluble in alcohols and organic solvents, and reacts with acids to release gels. It has self-drying properties: when the water in the solution evaporates, it forms a water-insoluble dry film with irreversible water resistance.

IV. Performance and Applications
Lithium silicate has wide-ranging applications, including:
- As a concrete densifier in industrial flooring, electronics and pharmaceutical workshops, large supermarkets, parking lots, and other venues.
- In the production of inorganic coatings for marine engineering, oil pipelines, ships, bridges, and building materials. Notably, inorganic zinc-rich paints using lithium silicate can provide effective anti-corrosion protection for up to 20 years in marine applications. It is also suitable for inorganic architectural coatings (or mineral coatings).
- As a surface treatment agent in the photovoltaic industry, for light preservation of crafts and decorations, radios, plastic films, etc.
- As an adhesive for asbestos, glass, TV phosphor powders, wood, automotive clutches, and high-grade welding electrodes.
V. Packaging
25L, 200L, or 1000L plastic drums, or as required by customers.
VI. Storage
Store in a sealed container in a ventilated, dry indoor area away from direct sunlight. Transport and store at temperatures above -5°C.
