Description: Sodium tetraborate pentahydrate, also known as borax pentahydrate; Solubor has a molecular weight of 291.29, a relative density of 1.815 g/cm3, a melting point of 75℃, and a molecular formula of Na2B4O75(H2O). Sodium tetrborate (pentahydrate) is a chemical substance that has the appearance of a white crystalline powder. Soluble in hot water, glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol, carbon tetrachloride. An aqueous solution is basic. When heated to 120℃, the crystal water is completely lost. Stable in dry air, but slowly absorbs moisture in the air and becomes decahydrate borax under humid conditions. It has the properties of sterilization, disinfection, melting aid and high temperature adhesion. Chemical properties are similar to sodium decahydrate tetraborate.
