Character

Stearic acid is a mixture of stearic acid and palmitic acid, which stearic acid is no less than 40%, palmitic acid is no less than 40%, both are no less than 90%. White or off-white powder with smooth and greasy feel with slight smell similar to grease. Easily dissolve in dichloromethane or ether, dissolve in ethanol and hardly dissolve in water.

Application

Mainly used as tablet lubricant and the concentration should be 3% of tablet, used for ointment and cream and the concentration should be 5-15%.
