Potassium formate is an organic salt, the chemical formula is HCOOK, is a white solid, easy moisture absorption, has reducibility, can react with strong oxidants, density of 1.9100g/cm3, soluble in water, non-toxic and non-corrosive. The aqueous solution is a colorless transparent liquid, and the specific gravity of the saturated solution is 1.58 g/cm3.

It is mainly used in oil drilling.

1. Widely used in oilfield industry as drilling fluid, completion fluid and workover fluid with excellent performance;
