Product Introduction and application                                                                            

• 1,6-hexanediol is a linear diol containing two primary hydroxyl groups, with more carbon atoms. 
• It is mainly used in the manufacture of polyester glycol, and then used in the synthesis of polyurethane elastomer. 
• Polyurethane elastomers made of diisocyanates such as hexamethylene adipate and MDI have excellent hydrolysis resistance, crystallinity and higher mechanical strength.
• 1,6-hexanediol is also used as a chain extender for polyurethanes.
• 1,6-hexanediol can also be used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyesters, saturated polyester resins, polycarbonates, coatings, plasticizers, UV curing coatings reactive diluents, organic synthesis intermediates, etc

Properties: It is a white waxy solid at room temperature and a clear liquid at temperature above its melting range. Soluble in water, methonal, ether and organic solvents, slightly soluble in ether.
