Solvent Naphtha 100 and 150 (with the shared CAS No. 64742 - 94 - 5) are common high - boiling aromatic solvent naphthas derived from petroleum distillation. They are widely used in multiple industrial fields due to their excellent solubility. Below is a detailed English product introduction covering their core properties, specific specifications, main applications, and packaging & storage:
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| English Name | Solvent Naphtha 100; Solvent Naphtha 150 |
| Chinese Name | 100# Solvent Naphtha; 150# Solvent Naphtha |
| CAS No. | 64742 - 94 - 5 (Shared for both grades) |
| EINECS No. | 265 - 198 - 5 |
| Molecular Formula | C9 |
| Molecular Weight | 108.099 |
Both grades are colorless, non - viscous aromatic hydrocarbon liquids, featuring strong aromatic odors and being insoluble in water while miscible with most aromatic solvents. Their key specifications differ slightly to adapt to various application scenarios:
Also known as Solvent Naphtha C9, its composition is dominated by C9 aromatic hydrocarbons (accounting for 90% of the total). It typically contains 20 - 45% of 1,2,4 - trimethylbenzene, 8 - 15% of 1,3,5 - trimethylbenzene, and 25 - 35% of mixed ethyltoluenes. It has moderate volatility and strong solvency, which is suitable for scenarios requiring balanced dissolving capacity and evaporation rate.
It is often called heavy aromatic solvent naphtha or Solvent C10. Compared with Solvent Naphtha 100, it has a higher boiling point and flash point. The typical specifications are as follows: the initial boiling point is no less than 175℃ (usually around 180℃), the final boiling point is no more than 210℃ (generally 205℃); the flash point is at least 63℃ (typical value 67℃); the aromatic content is as high as 98% or more, and the density at 15℃ is about 0.88 kg/L. It has low volatility and stable performance at high temperatures.
Both solvents are workhorses in industrial production, with application scenarios tailored to their properties:
