69975-86-6 - IntroductionDoxofylline is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It is a methylxanthine compound, similar to theophylline and caffeine. Doxofylline mainly works by inhibiting the adenosine A2 receptors in the nervous system, thereby dilating the bronchi and reducing symptoms of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Doxofylline is widely used in the treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory diseases. It can also be used as a central nervous system stimulant, to enhance myocardial contractility, and has a diuretic effect.

The preparation methods of doxofylline include extraction from tea leaves or coffee beans, followed by purification and crystallization processes. In addition, doxofylline can also be prepared through chemical synthesis.
