It dissolves in 0.6mL of water, 0.3mL of boiling water and 2mL of ethanol, and its solution is neutral

Purpose
The application fields of magnesium chloride hexahydrate are very extensive and can be divided into the following aspects:
Industry: It is used in the production of salt chemicals, refractory materials and masonry adhesives, as well as as raw materials for smelting metallic magnesium and magnesia sand.
Chemistry: Produce various magnesium salts such as magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate, and magnesium hydroxide.
Construction: It is used for making magnesia-oxygen cement, processing building components, artificial marble, particleboard, etc.
Textile industry: used for processing textiles.
Agriculture: Producing cotton defoliant, impregnating wood to endow it with fire resistance. As a freezing medium, a de-icing agent for snow removal, and a cement antifreeze for winter construction.
