They are readily soluble in alcohols,ketones,ethers and most hydrocarbons,but are only slightly soluble in water and high paraffinic hydrocarbon.

MDBE is extensively applied in the fields of coin steel coating,automobile coating,baking coating,tin plate printing coating,carpentry coating,vessel/can coating,printing ink industry,metal furniture coating,founfry resin and insulating coating industry.MDBE can be the substitute of isophorone,cyclohexanonel,ether type of solvent and so on.
